The Russell-Posie family’s world changed in 2023 when their daughter Abigail was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma. What followed was a long and demanding medical journey that reshaped daily life for their entire family.

Abigail’s treatment required extended hospital stays, frequent travel, and complex care, placing constant emotional and logistical demands on her parents and sibling. As treatments intensified, so did the need to balance caregiving, work, and the basic responsibilities of maintaining a household.

Over time, the family experienced moments of hope as Abigail entered remission. During this period, they worked to rebuild a sense of normalcy and stability, cherishing everyday moments together. In 2025, however, Abigail’s cancer returned, bringing the family back into a cycle of treatment, uncertainty, and constant adjustment.

Beyond the medical challenges, the family also faced the significant non-medical costs associated with pediatric cancer. Travel, housing expenses, property taxes, and everyday living costs became increasingly difficult to manage while prioritizing Abigail’s care. The emotional weight of navigating illness while ensuring stability for their children added further strain.

Support from the Tyler Robinson Foundation helped ease these pressures, providing relief from financial stress so the family could focus on being present for Abigail and each other. That support allowed space for what matters most: time together, comfort, and care during an incredibly difficult chapter.

Despite the challenges they continue to face, the Russell-Posie family remains rooted in love and resilience, holding onto hope and supporting Abigail with unwavering dedication.
